My favorite mode of transportation is walking. Growing up just north of Philadelphia in Elkins Park, I often walked to school. Walking to school let me see plenty of neighborhoods, and I always learned something new. Walking continues to be important to me; I love Rogers Park and Evanston because of the walkability.

Prior to real estate, I was the editor in chief of two monthly magazines at Crain Communications. I also love fiddling with technology. I was the midwest bureau chief for Computerworld for several years, and then held a number of senior editorial roles in the computer trade press. I continue to have a keen interest in how technology can change business and daily life, and I enjoy keeping up to date on new platforms. 

Like all reporters, I have a knack for talking to people and learning their stories. This is a key part of excellent client service, in my opinion. I’m also very invested in using technology to constantly improve my workflow and interactions, allowing me to be innovative, responsive and smart when helping my clients achieve their objectives.

Choosing Engel & Völkers was natural for me, especially because I get to work with my E & V broker wife, Erin, and so many other amazing professionals. I love the emphasis E & V places on the personal relationship, which is all about communication and trust. I know the importance of listening to my clients, while communicating the different steps of the leasing process.

Engel & Völkers’ technology was also a driving force. I was immediately impressed with their emphasis on connecting all of the diverse systems, making all of the processes that much more streamlined. Using the Engel & Völkers systems to enhance my clients’ experience is key. 

When I’m not working, you will find me scuba diving with Erin (it’s how we met). We love giving back to the community, fostering dogs, and just enjoying taking walks around our neighborhood with our dogs leading the way.
